Publications on Nutrition and Biochemistry

'Nutrition' includes biochemical work that should underpin nutritional beliefs and practices. 'Biochemistry' includes 'clinical biochemistry' (laboratory testing applied for the benefit of patients) and such areas of biochemical work as cannot be placed under more specialised headings.

Much of what passes for fact in the world of nutrition is untrue. Mega-dosing with vitamin B6 is based on a misunderstanding. Nutritional deficiency of zinc is rare and the greater risk is excess from occupational exposure, no-one really knows what the minimum daily intake should be, and so on. The key to understanding is careful science.

All you need to know about diet, foods, vitamins, minerals and how to control body weight is here condensed into 54 pages.

A simple, truthful guide to diet, nutrition and body weight.
